Vauxhall Corsavan ecoFLEX

The new Vauxhall Corsavan ecoFLEX has a 14 g/km reduction in CO2 and a 12 per cent improvement in combined mpg.
This means that it emits just 105 g/km CO2, and 70.6 mpg on the combined cycle.
There's an even more impressive 18 per cent improvement in urban mpg, now 58.9 mpg, and this is largely thanks to the new Corsavan ecoFLEX being the first Vauxhall commercial vehicle to feature Start/Stop technology. So drivers who use their vans frequently in congested city streets will see the biggest improvement in fuel economy.
Torque from the new Euro 5-compliant 1.3 CDTi (75PS) models also increase by 20Nm to 190Nm, and all Start/Stop vans are also fitted with a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter), which traps harmful particulates.
The Start/Stop system means that instead of the engine idling when at a halt, the engine will automatically stop when the driver engages neutral and releases the clutch pedal. To move away, the driver simply presses the clutch pedal to re-start the engine, engages first and moves away. The vehicle's ventilation, power steering and braking system performance are maintained while the engine is temporarily off.
To ensure Start/Stop is reliable during the vehicle's life, an enhanced starter motor is used, along with a high performance battery and Electric Power Management system, for efficient re-starts. An additional water pump keeps the cabin warm in cool weather during the stop phase, and owners have the ability to turn off Start/Stop completely via a dashboard button.
The Corsavan ecoFLEX Start/Stop model is £220 more than the price of a current Euro 5 Corsavan ecoFLEX 1.3 CDTi (75PS) and it's on sale now.
