Back-to-back road test: G-Wiz AC Drive and Mega City
The G-Wiz is now a common sight in the Congestion charge zone of central London, with around 700 of the small electric cars driving around. However the G-Wiz now has a new electric competitor – the Mega City, distributed in London by NICE (standing for ‘No Internal Combustion Engine). The G-Wiz has fought back with a new ‘AC’ version, offering a longer range, higher speed, and more torque. Both are available now – but at the moment they’re only being actively marketed in the London area (but there are plans for this to change in the future!).
Both are exempt from the central London Congestion Charge, and exempt from (very expensive) parking charges in Westminster, both pay zero road tax, and both need no petrol; but they should be recharged with renewable electricity to be truly green.
Green-Car-Guide was the first to road test both the Mega City and the G-Wiz AC. Click below for our findings.
