As the central London congestion charge zone extends west to take in an even greater area of the capital, a seminar has been organised for businesses to find out everything they need to know about low emission vehicles in London, and to discover practical solutions to help save money on transport costs. The half-day event will take place in Covent Garden on Thursday 22nd March 2007.
The agenda includes the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership talking about why low emission vehicles are needed, and the benefits to you, and Transport for London will provide an update on the Congestion Charge and the forthcoming LEZ (Low Emission Zone), confirming where are we now, and looking ahead to what’s coming up.
Central to the seminar programme will be a session looking at practical solutions: the choices in terms of technology and fuels, and what cars and commercial vehicles are available today.
Just to prove that there are practical low emission vehicles that are in use today, there will be case studies from Pret a Manger and Green Tomato Cars.
A session about green fleet management will show businesses how to be responsible and save money, and the seminar will finish with the opportunity to fire questions at the panel of speakers.
After the seminar, lunch will be on offer, together with a select range of low emission vehicles and exhibition stands.
Arrival for this half-day seminar is at 9.30am, and the event ends at 12.30pm. This event is organised by the Clear Zones Partnership and Westminster and Camden Councils, and is free, however places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so registration is essential; visit: www.lowemissionvehicles.info
