Mitsubishi i MiEV SPORT AIR Concept

Mitsubishi will premiere the i MiEV SPORT ‘AIR’ at the forthcoming 2009 Geneva Motor Show.

Based on the electric i MiEV, the SPORT ‘AIR’ will share its layout of a lithium-ion battery pack located within its long wheelbase, and its low centre of gravity. It will also benefit from the powerful acceleration and high torque inherent to electric motors.

Mitsubishi claims it will be one of the first mainstream manufacturers to consider the concept of a ‘proper’ electric sports car.

Based on Green-Car-Guide’s extremely favourable driving experiences of the i MiEV, we look forward to testing Mitsubishi’s promises about the SPORT ‘AIR’.
