Pay-as-you-go cars arrive in Liverpool

Fancy driving a new car without the hassle of owning it and cutting your transport costs by 50%? With WhizzGo you can book a car nearby instantly by phone or online for less than £4 an hour. The service is launched in Liverpool on 22nd July 06 and WhizzGo is working with Liverpool City Council to provide pay-as-you-go-cars across the city, adding to its national network.

This is a brand new initiative to tackle city centre congestion and reduce the demand for residential parking. WhizzGo pay by the hour cars offer businesses and the growing number of residents a real alternative to private car ownership.

WhizzGo (air conditioned!) cars are available to hire by the hour, and prices include insurance and fuel. It is anticipated that these cars will reduce the need for city centre residents to own cars, whilst still having a car available when they need one. It also means that businesses can reduce the need for staff to bring their own or hire cars into the city centre everyday, on their daily commute.

Once you've signed up with WhizzGo, just book your brand new WhizzGo car online or by phone - with as little as one minute's notice. Your personal WhizzGo smart card will open the door and put you in the driving seat. On return, park the car back in its reserved WhizzGo space. What could be simpler?

Cheaper than car ownership, use of a WhizzGo car costs from just £3.95 per hour with everything included: fuel, insurance, cleaning, servicing, maintenance, repair, breakdown.

1 WhizzGo car takes 6 cars off the road, dramatically reducing emissions and congestion. And WhizzGo cars in London are even exempt from the Congestion Charge.
