Connaught

Stand 30
Connaught Engineering, now based in South Wales, produces the world’s first retro fit Hybrid system designed for the LCV market. The Hybrid+ system currently is available for the Ford Transit 2.4RWD with the 2.2 FWD due in the coming weeks.
The system has been tested by Millbrook Proving Grounds and delivered savings of over 16% in CO2 while also improving the vehicles MPG by over 16% as well.
These savings when applied to a van doing 25,000 miles a year at 20mpg could save a company over £1,400 over a five year contract after paying for its £2,750 supply and fit price. In addition Hybrid+ will also deliver a CO2 reduction of over 2 tonnes every year.
Future system developments include the Sprinter due late this year and Movano due in 2009.
