Citroen C4 Picasso hits 55mpg / 135g/km

Following re-homologation the 1.6HDi and 2.0HDi C4 Picasso and C4 Grand Picasso models now have revised fuel consumption ratings.

For versions equipped with the 1.6HDi 110hp DPFS power-plant, with manual and Auto EGS transmission, combined cycle fuel economy is improved by almost 4%, whilst CO2 emissions are reduced by 5g/km as a result.

Cars fitted with the more powerful 2.0HDi 138hp DPFS unit, with the Auto EGS transmission, benefit from a 1.7% improvement in fuel economy and a 2g/km reduction in emissions.

The improved CO2 emissions result in a 1-point reduction in BIK tax rates for all versions and lower 1st year VED for the 1.6HDi 110hp manual models - from £125 to £110.

The most frugal model is the 1.6HDi with the Auto EGS gearbox which achieves a combined fuel economy of 55.4 mpg which equates to an excellent 135 g/km of CO2. This makes the C4 Picasso one of the lowest CO2 MPV’s on the market. With the C4 Grand Picasso achieving the same benchmark, and boasting seven seats, it proves that reduced CO2 emissions don’t have to come at the expense of practicality.
