Trident Performance Vehicles has designed and produced a two-seater diesel sports car that can reach over 200mph, get from 0-60mph in under 4 seconds and potentially deliver up to 100mpg.
A new study on the automotive industry by the IBM Institute for Business Value says that hybridisation and battery technology will lead the drive toward environmentally sustainable transport, and that by 2020 all new vehicles will have some level of hybridisation.

Smart car wins the Cannonball Run

Peugeot Blue Lion Standard

You may have noticed the trend for manufacturers to give a name to their green models. Peugeot has now done this and followed the same line as PSA Group partner Citroën with its Airdream signature.
The Peugeot Bipper van is now available with a 2-Tronic gearbox, which means it reduces its CO2 emissions to 116 g/km and improves its fuel economy to 64.2 mpg in the combined cycle.

Fiat Panda Cross

The Fiat Panda 4x4 is at last available in the UK with a diesel engine, and it’s had a design makeover to go with it, along with a new name – the Cross.
Mitsubishi has raised its production targets for its i-MiEV city car from 2,000 vehicles a year to 10,000, and has increased the production of its batteries to allow this.
