Citroen DS3

The Citroën DS3 is here, with the DStyle 99g emitting just 99g/km CO2 emissions with fuel economy of 74.3mpg.

The DS3 is a new five-seater addition in the 'premium' small hatchback/supermini class, which includes competitor models such as MINI, MINI Clubman, Fiat 500 and Alfa Romeo MiTo.

Citroën has focused on limiting weight, optimising aerodynamics, and advancing the engine technology in order to ensure the DS3 reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

The DS3 is powered by a range of five Euro V compliant engines - three BMW co-developed petrols and two modern Citroën HDi diesels - with power output extending from the HDi 90hp diesel to the sporty 1.6 THP 150hp petrol.

The three petrol powerplants - VTi 95hp, VTi 120hp & THP 150hp - were co-developed with BMW and are mated to either 5 or 6-speed manual gearboxes.  Over the combined cycle, CO2 emissions range between 134 and 155g/km.

The two HDi diesels - 90hp & 110hp - are fitted with Citroën's DPFS (Diesel Particulate Filter System) and are mated to either 5 or 6-speed manual gearboxes.

The 90hp diesel version emits 104g/km of CO2 with fuel economy of 70.6mpg combined. The 110hp diesel unit emits 118g/km CO2.

A new Gear Efficiency Indicator - standard specification across the range - signals the optimum moment to change gear and encourages more economical driving.

The DS3 is available in three trim levels: DSign, DStyle and DSport. The DStyle 99g is based on the DStyle trim. Externally, the only difference is the addition of 16” steel wheels with wheel covers, in place of the DStyle's 16” alloys.

The DS3 starts at £11,700 for the petrol VTi 95hp DSign, rising to £15,900 for the top-of-the-range petrol THP 150hp and diesel HDi 110hp DSport models.
